With their adventure finally over, Garin and the others were finally able to go home and relax. Though, it was fairly hard to say goodbye to their comrades, especially for Sarah, so, Garin offered the others a ride back to London, so they could postpone goodbye for a little while longer. So this evening, everyone was up on deck celebrating their final defeat of Maleficent. Garin had gone into his cabin to get an extra bottle of rum, and reached over to a dim kerosene lantern to brighten the room, and as he did, heard a resounding click…

"…Scarblade?" Garin asked in suspicion.

"Correct," an angry voice. "Maleficent may be gone, but I'm still going to get my revenge on you!"

Click!

The trigger was pulled, but it didn't go off, the powder must have gotten wet when Scarblade swam aboard. Garin sighed in relief then jumped forward and rolled over his desk, and just in time. Scarblade had slammed his sword down on the desk, nearly chopping it in half!

Garin drew his dagger and stabbed at Scarblade over the desk, but the Lupe jumped back out of reach, bumping into the door and knocking it open. Everyone gave a start and stood up to watch the fight as it went on, and soon, it ended up all the way in the rigging. Ratigan strained his neck to watch, then looked down at a cannon.

"Basil, help me with this!" he yelled, shoving the cannon over to one side. Basil blinked.

"We can't fire a cannon it might hit Garin!" he said.

"We're not going to, trust me! Sarah! Hand me that powder barrel!" Ratigan said. Sarah blinked and looked around her, spying a small barrel that was used for carrying reserve gunpowder. She picked it up.

"Yes, that's the one!" Ratigan said.

"What are you planning?" Jacques asked.

"You'll see!" Ratigan said, shoving the barrel into the cannon.

Garin parried and tried to keep his balance at the same time, but Scarblade was a lot bigger than he was, and it was easy for him to knock the Usul off balance. Garin let out a cry of alarm as he fell, but grabbed hold of the yardarm, dropping his dagger in the process. He groaned and looked up as Scarblade placed his sword tip to Garin's chin, smirking evilly, as if thinking to himself, if the fall, or his sword should kill Garin.

"Fire!" Ratigan shouted, and Scarblade looked down, just as the barrel was fired and slammed against the mast, vibrating it violently and knocking Scarblade off balance, but since Garin was holding on, he was safe. He quickly grabbed a rope and looped it around Scarblade's leg right as he fell, and right before he hit the deck, the rope strained and stopped him by his foot just above the deck.

Ratigan grabbed Scarblade by the throat. "Get ready to go back to the fire from hell that forged you!" he growled.

"Wait!" Garin yelled, then slid down the same rope Scarblade was attached to, then landed in front of the others. "A death like that is too dignified for him!"

"But--" Ratigan started, Garin shook his head.

"Tie him up boys!" he said, and his men obeyed, tying Scarblade fast with Garin watching, a smirk on his face. "And run out the gang plank!"

Basil looked at Garin. "What? I thought pirates didn't really do that!"

"Oh no, we do… mostly for the amusement!" Garin said with a wink, then picked his dagger up from the deck and walking over to Scarblade, who now stood on the middle of the plank. Garin put his dagger point to Scarblade's chest, and Scarblade growled.

"I'll get you for this!" he growled through bared teeth. Garin laughed.

"Not today you won't!" he said, then pushed Scarblade backwards, and off the plank. Scarblade hit the water with a splash, only to reappear a few moments later, shouting and cursing that was drowned out by the jeers and laughter of Garin and his friends.

"Now don't worry Captain!" Garin called. "I'm sure your crew will be by to pick you up soon!"

The crew laughed it off for another minute, before Garin walked up to the helm to steer them on their course to London. He took a deep breath of the sea, loving every moment of it. He scratched his head and ran his fingers back through his hair, adjusting his headband as he felt it start to loosen, smiling as Hannah walked up to him. He was about to say something, but she put a finger to his lips, then moved it and kissed him. Garin sighed and wrapped his arm around her… only one, because he needed his other one to steer.

Suddenly a chiming sound interrupted Garin's thoughts, and he rolled his eyes as he pulled away from Hannah. She sighed and took the wheel for him as he pulled the map out of his belt.

"Now what?" he asked, voice laced in annoyance as he unrolled the map. It was blank, but slowly some black writing began to appear over the middle…

"A Pirate's Life for Me."

Garin paused, then smirked to himself as he started to re-roll the map back up. He started to hum, and Hannah noticed, especially since she had seen what the map had said, standing beside him.

"…And really bad eggs," she sang quietly. Garin chuckled and put an arm around her.

"Drink up, me hearties, yo ho…" Ratigan finished with a grin, having superior hearing than most. Garin's chuckle soon turned into a laugh as the rest of his crew joined in.

"Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's for me!" they all started singing. Hannah laughed and hugged Garin sideways, smiling up at him as he looked down at her.

"Now… lets go home," she said. Garin smiled and kissed her lightly.

"We are home…" he said.
