Misunderstanding .:Lineart:.

The door burst open, Cleopamon ducked her head in shock and the other Digimon picked up his rifle and aimed it at the door. As her head came back up to look, Cleopamon felt relief wash over her when she saw Beelzemon in the doorway with on of his two guns aimed at the other Digimon, but confusion came over her face when both of them suddenly lowered their weapons slightly.

"Astamon?"

"B? S'at you?" the Digimon asked, lowering his rifle all the way. "Damn, what the hell are you doin' here?"

"I oughta be askin' you that." Beelzemon replied. "But I from the looks of things I could guess that you're workin'..."

"Yeah, you could say that." Astamon said with a shrug and then a smirk. "Don't tell me your here for the score. Remember the rules, "finders keepers", and I got to this one first, fair and square!"

"I remember. Except that this one happens to be my girlfriend." said Beelzemon.

"Ha, good one!" Astamon said, laughing aloud... but his smile faded as he saw Beelzemon's unamused expression remain on his face. "...Wait, are you serious?"

"Untie her."

"Holy frikken Angemon on a stripper pole you're serious!"

"NOW Astamon!"

"Right, right, got it!" Astamon threw up his hands, then set down his rifle and turned to Cleopamon, kneeling down seconds later to untie the ropes. Upon release, he took Cleopamon by the arm and helped her stand up. "Okay, lets try to start this one over, shall we?"

Cleopamon, ears still folded back, brought her hand up and struck Astamon's left cheek with a loud "SLAP".

"I deserved that." Astamon said, rubbing his cheek as he glanced at Beelzemon.

"Ya think?" Beelzemon asked with a chuckle.

Basically what happens when your main squeeze gets a contract put out on her and meets up with your best friend since you were Rookies...

This drawing came out a little rougher than I originally intended, but I'm not feeling very good today to be perfectly honest, so I'll touch it up further and fix things whenever I get around to coloring it.

But anyway, the clip above pretty much describes how Cleopamon first meets Astamon, an old friend of Beelzemon's and fellow bounty hunter. The two learned to survive together a lot and even teamed up most of the time for their first contracts before they eventually went solo. They did keep in touch from time to time, but when Beelzemon gave up bounty hunting they didn't run into each other for a long time, until someone put a bounty on Cleopamon and Astamon was the first to try and collect on it. The thing is though, even after not seeing each other for so long, Beelzemon and Astamon are still very close, so Astamon is quick to change priorities in this situation...

Namely not getting mauled by his bro, if you catch my drift.
